Before our Call to Action below, First off, what is CONCURRENCE?
From the lesson, Ways a Bill can Die, you might have read this:
If the bill passes out of each chamber with no amendments, it is sent to the Governor for a signature or a veto.
However, if there are any amendments, the two chambers will go back and forth to come to an agreement on the final version of the bill. If they do not come to an agreement, the bill dies.
This process of going back and forth between the chambers is CONCURRENCE.
Concurrence is controlled by the Majority party, specifically the Majority Leader and Majority Floor Leader in each Chamber.
This year, 2024, that list includes the following Democrat leaders:
House Majority Leader: Rep. Joe Fitzgibbon
House Deputy Majority Leader(s): Rep. Larry Springer and Rep. My-Linh Thai
House Majority Floor Leader: Rep. Monica Jurado Stonier
Senate Majority Leader: Sen. Andy Billig
Senate Deputy Majority Leader(s): Sen. Manka Dhingra and Sen. Emily Randall
Senate Majority Floor Leader: Sen. Jamie Pedersen

Call to Action! HB 2118 (Hat tip: Washington Gun Law)
SAVE OUR FFLs!
The absolute best explanation of this bill comes from William Kirk over at Washington Gun Law. You can watch “Washington State Signs an Entire Industry's Death Warrant” on YouTube for the background.
As William notes, this bill must also be reconciled between the changes made by the Senate and the original house version. The Senate changes are helpful, but not enough to save the FLL industry in Washington state.
EMAIL the Majority Leaders:
joe.fitzgibbon@leg.wa.gov; larry.springer@leg.wa.gov; my-linh.thai@leg.wa.gov; monica.stonier@leg.wa.gov; andy.billig@leg.wa.gov; manka.dhingra@leg.wa.gov; emily.randall@leg.wa.gov; jamie.pedersen@leg.wa.gov
SUBJECT: KILL THE BILL 2118 - Stop the coming gun black market
Possible Body: Please kill this terrible bill 2118 which will create a massive black market for guns. The legal and lawful FLL industry prevents an organized black market. This bill, even with the improvements made in the Senate, will create one. Don’t do it. Kill the bill.
